As part of our work as a Learning Champion for Sheffield City Council Lifelong Learning we were shortlisted alongside other Learning Champions in the city for the new Annual Ways of Working Awards.
These Awards recognise and celebrate the outstanding work going on across Sheffield City Council. Learning Champions raise the profile of Adult and Community Learning and support learners across the city.
Hayley attended the ceremony alongside Matthew from Heeley Trust on behalf of the Learning Champion Network.
As part of our relationship with Sheffield Hallam University Venture Matrix project we were asked if we would like an art installation for Learn for Life. We accepted and are very pleased to say that our interactive Art Installation is currently on display in the Winter Gardens. It will move to Learn for Life later this week where it will continue to grow.
Each ribbon represents the journey taken by our students to arrive in Sheffield and as new students join the centre we will be adding to it to create our own flag. Thank you very much to the Hallam students who worked hard on our project and created a wonderful piece of art we can use for years to come.
Today we went to visit the Leonardo Da Vinci Exhibition at the Millennium Galleries in the City Centre. Everyone had a good time looking at the drawings and admiring the light effect. There are more photos on our Facebook page here.
