Community Learning Champion Team

We now have a Learning Champion Team at Learn for Life Enterprise. We cover the areas of Abbeydale, Sharrow, London Road, and Broomhall, and can help you access learning throughout Sheffield.

We can help you find the right course for you, whether it is to learn new skills or find a hobby. Even if all you want to do is get out of the house and meet new people, we can help you! If you need extra support in accessing learning – for example, if you lack confidence and need a friendly face to accompany you to your first class, or if you are struggling to find childcare, we can help! Padley Gorge Trip

Thanks to the Northern Refugee Centre’s Finding Our Feet project we were able to fund a trip to the countryside for 30 students and volunteers. We took the train to Grindleford and then had an enjoyable walk to Padley Gorge. It was a fantastic day with lots of laughter, a picnic, English practice and fun. Learn for Life United Football Training

Mela at U-Mix

The local community in Sharrow had a Mela for Eid, at U-Mix, where we do football training. Some of us went to have a look at what was going on and to practice English conversation.

Following on from Hope City Church coming to clean and paint Learn for Life we were invited to a presentation of the project’s success on 12th July. Sai and Olivier, on behalf of everyone at Learn for Life, were presented with a lovely card and beautiful flowers from the Church – Thank you!!

Hope City Church run a community project called Project 180 where members of the congregation and community of Sheffield come together to do something good for organisations across the city. On Saturday 4th July Learn for Life was cleaned and a classroom repainted by the church group and volunteers from Learn for Life. Thank you all for your help and assistance – it looks great!!
