We are now enrolling for our 12 weeks IELTS course for the Spring term. The first session is January 6th and will run on Tuesday at 9:30 and Thursday at 10:30. The cost of the course is £240. There is ongoing enrolment throughout with sessions added to catch up late starters. Winter Celebration

On 18th December we had a Winter Celebration at Learn for Life. During the celebration Paul Blomfield, MP for Sheffield Central, presented certificates to some of our ESOL students who had passed exams this summer. The party was a time to celebrate everyone’s achievements, to have fun, share food, laughter and games. We played pass the parcel, pin the nose on the reindeer and musical statues amongst others. Sheffield Live television also came to the party and we were featured on the evening news. See below for some photographs from the party. DWELL Project Update

The Learn for Life Enterprise DWELL group have been meeting with architects from Sheffield University to discuss the Sharrow neighbourhood. The group features in the DWELL newsletter this month with information about how we are beginning to look at ways to improve Sharrow for older generations. In addition, Dan, Jenovah and Hayley took part in a film making course run by Spectacle and will use the skills they learnt to help present and share findings. Learn for Life Enterprise is pleased to announce we have been awarded funding from the Tinder Foundation through the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS) to deliver the Future Digital Skills programme.
The Future Digital Inclusion programme demonstrates the Government’s commitment to supporting people in the hardest-to-reach communities in England, enabling them not only to develop online skills and access government services, but also to benefit from the opportunities the internet can provide.
As part of the programme we will be supporting people to improve their Digital Skills. Our Digital Champions will be on hand every day at Learn for Life to help you improve your IT, online skills and access government services.

Our French course caters for beginners – advanced level.
Suitable for those interested in travelling, going on holiday, developing a new hobby or working internationally.
