Katy was on a 22 week placement at Learn for Life Enterprise in 2017 as part of her Geography course at Sheffield Hallam University and now works for Chell Fundraising Ltd where she has nominated us as Charity of the Month.

On the DISCOVER course attendees can expect to:

• Find out what it’s like to study at university through informal learning activities
• Meet new people and build your confidence
• Visit local museums and galleries
• Get support and advice on returning to education

Hayley has been turned into a bauble by the Good Things Foundation and it is now hanging on the Christmas tree at the Town Hall celebrating what’s great about Sheffield!

Hayley has been included in the “Use your voice – Women who are changing the world” book produced as part of the Voice Box Cafes project by The Good Things Foundation. The booklet includes stories about inspirational women who have used their voice to make a change.

We have been running Voice Box Cafes women groups this year and have reached over 50 women. In the cafes we have been discussing the importance of using your voice and being able to make a change. This week Carol and Pari went to the House of Lords in London to represent Learn for Life at the Voice Box Cafes celebration. They both had a great time meeting inspirational women and celebrating. We have been taking part in UK Parliament Week this week at Learn for Life learning about UK politics and the importance of voting by having our own mock election.More photos can be seen on our Facebook page here.
